I have played millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I began working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have gambled on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of money at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it basically impossible to defeat the casino.
I still enjoy the game and play on a frequent basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You most certainly will not get flush with this method or beat the house, still you will experience a lot of fun. This method is built on the fact that vingt-et-un seems to be a game of runs. When you are hot your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I bet with basic strategy blackjack. When I lose I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I lose again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and do not "chicken out". It gets extremely thrilling on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the MGM a few years ago with $750 after 60 minutes using this technique! And a number of months ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You have to comprehend that you can give away a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the streaks you see playing this way. Here is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 game.
Wager $5
Take $5 paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Bet $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Wager $10
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the initial $10 wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total bet of $20
Wager $20
Take 20 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original twenty dollar bet
Wager $20
Leave 20 dollar paid to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Wager $40
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the initial forty dollar bet
Wager forty dollar
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $80
Wager eighty dollar
Take $80 paid-out to you, leave the original eighty dollar bet
Bet eighty dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 160 dollar
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid to you, leave the first $160 bet
If you left at this point you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It’s herculean to go on a run this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
