I have wagered on millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have gambled on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a little while. Given all that I have still lost a lot of funds at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the house.

I still enjoy the game and bet on a frequent basis. Over this time period I have wagered on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this method or beat the casino, nonetheless you will experience an abundance of fun. This tactic is built on the fact that vingt-et-un appears to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your on fire, and when you are not you’re NOT!

I bet with basic strategy twenty-one. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the action back down to the original amount.

I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had great streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a couple of years back with $750 after 20 minutes using this technique! And a number of months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!

You must understand that you can relinquish much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be aghast at the streaks you see wagering this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar table.

Wager $5
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the original five dollar wager

Bet 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $10

Bet $10
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $10 wager

Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total bet of twenty dollar

Bet $20
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the first twenty dollar bet

Bet 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Wager $40
Take $40 paid to you, leave the original $40 wager

Wager 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar

Bet eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $80 bet

Bet eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar

Bet $160
Take $160 paid to you, leave the original 1 hundred and 60 dollar wager

If you left at this moment you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!

It’s herculean to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can NOT deviate and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
