I have wagered on millions of rounds of twenty-one. I started working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have enjoyed online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of bankroll at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it very hard to beat the house.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a type of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get rich with this method or beat the house, however you will have an abundance of fun. This method is founded on the idea that blackjack seems to be a match of runs. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy 21. When I lose I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. Once I win I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the wager back down to the original value.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets very thrilling on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in series your bets go up very fast. Before you know it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years back with $750 after 30 minutes using this technique! And a number of weeks ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You need to understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be astonished at the streaks you see playing this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you continue winning at a five dollar game.
Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 5 dollar bet
Wager 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the first $10 wager
Wager ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Wager $20
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the initial 20 dollar bet
Bet twenty dollar
Leave $20 paid-out to you for a total bet of $40
Bet forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the initial forty dollar wager
Bet $40
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Bet 80 dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first eighty dollar wager
Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Bet $160
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 1 hundred and sixty dollar bet
If you left at this moment you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
