The basic concept of the card game is to be handed cards adding up to twenty-one. Each blackjack player is dealt 2 cards. When a black jack player is dealt a nine or lower value card and an Ace they have been handed a soft hand. When the gambler is dealt no Ace it is called as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been given to every player at the table, including the dealer, each blackjack player is provided the chance to make one of 6 decisions:
Taking another card (Hit): When a gambler announces hit me the croupier will deal them another card, if the addition of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed twenty-one the black jack player will have lost and be excluded from the game, if the card makes the value of the hand to twenty one the blackjack player will be the winner and if the total hasn’t yet achieved twenty-one they are still in the game.
Keeping the hand you have been given: If a player is satisfied with the hand they’ll hold. As soon as this has happened the dealer will display their cards and the player who has gotten twenty one or the closet to 21 will win.
Doubling Down: A gambler may request to double down which increases the wager by 100% they have placed. Once you have taken this action you can only receive one more card. The specifics of doubling down are usually specified by the blackjack table or betting house rules so prior to betting make sure you are at ease with the house rules. If you are wagering at a web casino this is usually quite easy.
